BN 4265
BN 4265 was built by Alco as the SP&S 325 in June of 1966. It was the last C425 that the SP&S ordered.
After the March 1970 BN merger the SP&S 325 was renumbered to BN 4265.
It was repainted BN green fairly quickly as a photo purchased on eBay shows it already repainted 6-29-72, apparently the first Alco in BN green paint. No name or location marked on the slide.
Less than two years later BN 4265 was destroyed in a derailment and fire near Madras, OR 2-18-74. It was lead unit on train #137 and derailed on a bridge where it caught fire and burned. Trainpix has a photo of the 4265 after the derailment:
The C425 was moved to Vancouver, BC where it was scrapped.
