BN 4365
BN 4365 was built as SP&S 335 in December of 1967. It was the last of six Alco C636's built 12/67-1/68 for the SP&S numbered 330-335. All of SP&S's Alco's were assigned to Vancouver, WA for maintenance. Here is a photo of the SP&S 335 found on rrpicturearchives from 1968:
After the March 1970 BN merger the SP&S 335 was renumbered BN 4365 and remained assigned to Vancouver, WA.
rrpicturearchives has a great photo of the 4365 taken on the WP in Oroville, CA on 8-24-72. Note that the C636 is already painted BN green:
My notes say I first saw the BN 4365 pass by Auburn, WA 9-24-72 on a southbound led by 6510/4365/6618 (SD45/C636/F45) at 11:50 AM. It is possible this was train #139.
My one and only photo of the 4365 was a rear end roster taken 4-26-76 at Interbay north of Seattle.
The 4365 was retired and sold to Simon (a scrapper) in May of 1980 and cut up sometime after that.
