BN 4362

BN 4362 was built as SP&S 332 in December of 1967. The 332 was one of six C636's built by Alco for the SP&S numbered 330-335 in 12/67-1/68.

After the March 1970 BN merger the SP&S 332 was renumbered BN 4362 and remained assigned to Vancouver, WA, where it had been assigned to on the SP&S.

Some photos of the BN 4362 were located on rrpicturearchives showing the C636 still in SP&S paint as well as fresh BN paint.

Another nice photo of the 4362 in SP&S colors on Trainpix:

I first saw the 4362 on 5-27-72 at Auburn, WA on northbound BN #138 with units WP 3520/BN 4362/BN 2531 (GP40/C636/GP35) I noted that the 4362 was still in SP&S colors.

I photographed the BN 4362 leading train #138 northbound at Tacoma, WA 9-16-78 with units 4362/2506/4253 (C636/GP35/C425)

And a back shot as train #138 storms out of Tacoma for Seattle.

By 1980 the 4362 was stored along with the other BN Alco's and retired by BN in August of 1980 and shipped off to Illinois. This photo from rrpicturearchives in January of 1981 may be one of the last of the 4362 before it was scrapped:
