BN 5456
BN 5456 was built as the CB&Q 112 in December of 1966 as part of the railroads second and final order of U28B's numbered 111-115.
After the 1970 BN merger the 112 became BN 5456 and assigned to Lincoln with the other U28B's. My first sighting of the 5456 came on Halloween 1979 as BN 5456 was the trailing unit on eastbound train #74 over Stevens Pass.
BN 5456 was retired in 1986 and was one of 6 ex-CB&Q U28B's selected to go to the Transkentucky Industries Railroad for an extended life hauling coal in Kentucky later that same year. On TTI it was renumbered 259 and painted blue and silver. Last info I have shows it no longer in service and still at Paris as of 2003 rusting away. Here are links to a few photos found of the 259 in 1999 and 2003.

I am not sure if the 259 is still at Paris now or has been cut up. But I will try to find out.
