BN 5920

BN U30C 5920 was a locotrol remote unit built 11-73 for use on BN coal trains. This photo of it was taken at Interbay, WA on 12-13-80.

BN was running some coal trains to Roberts Bank, BC at the time and the U30C was probably off of one and left at Interbay with mechanical issues. Info says it was retired in January 1991 and sent to NRE 4-6-91.

From the series 5900-5944 I know that a number of the retired units found new homes on Kyle and LSI but there is nothing on the 5920. I am guessing that the U-boat was probably scrapped but I have no actual info on what happened to it after arriving at NRE.
