BN 9419

BNSF 9419 was built by EMD in February of 1994 for the growing coal train business and was one of 75 new SD70MAC's numbered 9400-9474 and delivered in the new green and cream scheme.

There are very few photos of the BN 9419 after a search on the internet and I never photographed it. The BNSF merger took place just a few years after the 9419 was delivered though it remained BN 9419 until renumbered BNSF 9419 in March of 2002.

I photographed the BNSF 9419 at Scenic, WA on an eastbound BNSF coal empty September 13, 2014, still in "Grinstein" green and cream paint. The BN emblems painted out and a small BNSF added under the cab window.

The BNSF 9419 was shopped in 2016 and repainted into new orange and black paint. There is a nice photo at railpictures.net of the BNSF 9419 here taken at Memphis, TN in 2019 but the caption sadly tells that the 9419 was retired and scrapped in 2020:
