BN 8051
BN EMD SD40-2 8051 was built in November of 1979 from a series numbered 8030 to 8073, all for the general freight pool.
I first saw the 8051 on 10-4-80 leading westbound train #3 east of Wenatchee near Malaga at 12:44 PM. #3 that day had units 8051/C&S 6572/6545/6928 (SD40-2/SD45/SD45/SD40-2). Here the train is coming off the Columbia River bridge east of Malaga.

I saw the 8051 leading again the following day 10-5-80 eastward on train #88 with units 8051/7834/6928/6545/6572 (SD40-2/SD40-2/SD40-2/SD45/SD45). Here the train is passing through Winton, WA headed towards Wenatchee just off of Stevens Pass and the Cascade Tunnel.

On 8-30-94 I got a roster shot of BN 8051 at Interbay, WA. Note that the class lights have been removed.

After the 1996 BNSF merger the BN 8051 was renumbered and repainted H1 as BNSF 8051 10-15-99.
It was later retired by BNSF and became HLCX 8051 and ILSX 8051 after that, never being repainted into a different scheme. The last photos of the 8051 were from 2012 so it seems likely this SD40-2 may have been scrapped. This is the last image of the 8051 that I have been able to find. It is from rrpicturearchives.net:
