BN 6765
BN SD40-2 6765 was built by EMD in December 1976 as one of a twenty unit order of SD40-2's numbered 6753-6772.
These twenty SD40-2's were primarily used in BN's coal train service out of Alliance, NE.
Not many photos of the 6765 exist but there is a very nice image from RailPictures.net of the 6765 at Portage, WI in 1977, probably not long after delivery:
The BN 6765 was the middle of three SD40-2's on a westbound empty coal involved in a head on collision near Motley, MN 6-14-84. The 6765 was scrapped as a result of this collision.
