BN 6760

BN SD40-2 6760 was built by EMD in December 1976 as one of a twenty unit order of SD40-2's numbered 6753-6772.

All 20 were primarily used in BN's coal train service and the 6760 must have been very elusive as I have been unable to locate any photos of it online.

I did see the 6760 on 7-20-83 in Seattle on train #129 with units 6311/6304/6760/6641 (SD40/SD40/SD40-2/F45) and it looks like I roster shot both SD40's and the F45 but ignored the SD40-2!

Less than one year later BN 6760 was the lead unit of a westbound empty coal wrecked in a head on collision near Motley, MN 6-14-84. All six units involved were scrapped.
