BN 5136

BN C30-7 5136 was built by GE in May of 1981 as part of BN's final group of C30-7's numbered 5127-5141. These 14 C30-7's were all built for use in coal service.

The 5136 had the distinction of going to Illinois as a display for Galesburg Days in June 1981. Here are a few photos of the 5136 on display in Galesburg, IL taken by Chuck Zeller on 6-6-81 which he has allowed me to use for this update.

This link to another photo Chuck took that day explains what happened to the 5136 three years later on 6-14-84:

The BN 5136 was the second unit of an eastbound coal train wrecked at Motley, MN 6-14-84 and by November of 1981 had been scrapped by BN.
