The Burlington Northern always had a large following.  It was a large railroad!  Living near Seattle, WA I was lucky enough to see it's early beginnings on March 3, 1970 to it's final day Sep 22, 1995 after it's merger with the Santa Fe to become the BNSF.  I will always have very fond memories of the BN.


     
Hard to believe the BN has been gone more than 10 years now!  In order to pay tribute to this "Fallen Flag" I will present special photo galleries every other month in 2006 as a tribute to the BN with photos from various trips and of locomotive models I photographed during the BN years.  Here is the schedule I have starting in 2006:

     July   -  Eastern Montana 1995

     Nov  - Stevens Pass  Winter 1984


     If popular, I would like to see this project continue into 2007 and beyond.  The BN was a very interesting railroad!  Enjoy.
